Why cannot I use IE to ftp into my account?

Posted in category FTP Issues

You might want to try changing the 『@』 in the username@domain.com to a % sign, turning it into username%domain.com. IE may interpret the @ as the seperator for the username/domain, which isn’t right.

Why cannot I FTP after I change my password?

Posted in category FTP Issues

The reason that your FTP password does not work initially after you change it and your control panel will still work is because the server must resynchronize all FTP passwords with the Control Panel and Email passwords.

This can take up to 1 hour. During this time, do not try to change your password again as it can cause problems with the system not recognizing the correct password. Also, during this time, your old password will still be working.

How do I receive and send email via email client such as outlook or netscape?

Posted in category E-Mail Service

Please set SMTP/POP3/IMAP server to mail.yourdomain.com in email client. And be sure to check the 『outgoing mail server requires authentication box』 (to change the authentication setting above, go to Tools -> Accounts -> Choose the E-Mail account -> Click Properties -> Click the Servers tab -> near the bottom is the checkbox for this function), otherwise you will not be able to send mail (this requirement has been put into place as a defense against spammers).

There is also a feature in your control panel to automatically setup each email account in Microsoft Outlook.

If it is your main account, the username is your main account username and main password. If it is an extra POP account, the username is your email address (email@domain.com) and the email account password.
