You might want to try changing the 『@』 in the username@domain.com to a % sign, turning it into username%domain.com. IE may interpret the @ as the seperator for the username/domain, which isn’t right.

The reason that your FTP password does not work initially after you change it and your control panel will still work is because the server must resynchronize all FTP passwords with the Control Panel and Email passwords.

This can take up to 1 hour. During this time, do not try to change your password again as it can cause problems with the system not recognizing the correct password. Also, during this time, your old password will still be working.

You should upload your files to the public_html or www directory in your home directory.

Please make sure that you connect to ftp.yourdomain.com with your ftp client.

If it is your main account, the username is your main account username and main password. If it is an extra ftp account or addon-domain, the username is user@yourdomain.com and the account/domain password.

When the user login to webmail (www.domain.com/webmail/), in the bottom there is a tab: 『Change Password 』

So the user can change their password without logging into Cpanel.

The IMAP server name is the same as the server name which you use for POP3 and SMTP. It is usually going to be yourdomain.com.

In Outlook for example, make sure ‘My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication’ is checked in your mail account (advanced) properties. Please set SMTP/POP3/IMAP server to mail.yourdomain.com in email client. And be sure to check the 『outgoing mail server requires authentication box』 (to change the authentication setting above, go to Tools -> Accounts -> Choose the E-Mail account -> Click Properties -> Click the Servers tab -> near the bottom is the checkbox for this function), otherwise you will not be able to send mail (this requirement has been put into place as a defense against spammers).
